# Water Literacy Project Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

## Who we are

The Water Literacy Project is run by AquaAction. This policy explains what information we collect on our website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We keep your information private and never sell it.

## What we collect

- **What you give us in our forms:** your name and email, plus any optional details you choose to share (for example, your role, school or region).
- **Basic website activity:** pages you visit, what you download and which emails you open. This is collected with cookies and similar tools.

## How we use it

- To send you what you asked for, like the Action Pack links.
- To send you updates, but only if you checked the box to receive them.
- To measure our impact, such as how many people download our materials. We report these numbers only as totals, never in a way that identifies you.

## Who can see it

Only our team. We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with anyone outside our organization.

We use HubSpot, a trusted service provider, to store your information and send our emails. HubSpot handles it only on our behalf and under strict privacy terms. HubSpot may store data on servers outside Canada, where it may be subject to local laws.

## How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete it. We protect it with reasonable security measures.

## Your choices

- **Unsubscribe** anytime using the link at the bottom of any email.
- **Ask** to see, correct or delete your information.
- **Turn off cookies** in your browser settings.
